About us
Who we are
Satul Părinților ("The Parents' Village") is a non-governmental, non-profit and non-partisan association, a private legal entity founded in 2024 and registered in the Register of Associations and Foundations at the Bucharest District 2 Court.
[DE COMPLETAT: the story behind it — taking over the association, the people who lead it now, why we do this.]
Our purpose
We set out to build a support community for parents and for professionals who work with children, and to promote ecological and cultural education through media, cultural events, photography exhibitions and ecotourism programmes — with a special focus on children's education and on the careful analysis of environmental issues.
What guides us
- Education as a foundation — from early education and support for parents and educators, to free access to culture and knowledge.
- Memory as a responsibility — recent history must be known, not repeated.
- Nature as a legacy — Romania's old-growth forests and natural ecosystems deserve protection for the generations to come.
- Media as a tool — documentaries, photography exhibitions and analyses that bring environmental and cultural topics to public attention.
