“Cycle of Development” workshop
We co-financed an experiential workshop for early education, built around a theory of socio-emotional development from Transactional Analysis: Pamela Levin's Cycle of Development. Both educators and parents took part.
Our premise concerns the mental health of the future adult. Without a preventive vision in early education, children receive restrictive messages that inhibit the autonomy and spontaneity essential for a healthy self. Education then becomes a form of adaptation to rigid expectations, rather than a space for authentic growth.
Prevention in socio-emotional development is not abstract: it relies on well-defined theoretical frameworks and practical tools that can be integrated into early education to support autonomy, emotional regulation and healthy relationships.
We intend to repeat this workshop.
